The event was attended by special World Association of Chefs Society (WACS) officials, John Sloane as WACS Continental Director Asia and Alan Orreal as WACS Advisor for Global Development of Junior Chefs MCC.

Several young chefs have made their first steps to chefs of the future when they established the Junior Chef board of committee lead by Alexander Tanuhardja, former STP student, currently doing training at The Bulgari Resort Bali, with vice president Ivan Suputra, former STP student, currently doing training at Four Seasons Resort, Bali. The board is advised by BCP vice president, Darren Lauder, executive chef of Nusa Dua Beach Resort and Spa.

“Chefs today need a whole host of talents as well as excellent culinary skills to excel in the hospitality industry. It is vital that our chefs are as well versed in interpersonal skills as they are in regional food.
