SEAC 2010

The 7th SEAC Golf Tournament 2010 was again a great success, thanks to the dedication of Overall Chairman Werner Berger and Vice Chairman Othmar Frei, who have organized this Manila-based biennial chefs’ tournament since 1998. Delegates totaled 140 from 21 different country-bases. Utmost thanks to the major sponsors who have been so faithful through the many years.

The delegates were reunited at the Welcome Cocktails held at the Sofitel garden, with a photo presentation of the “SEAC 12-year flashback”. Sofitel Phil. Plaza is also the official hotel of the SEAC delegates. The Blue Rats gave a fantastic performance and received a spontaneous audience participation, thus getting the golfers all hyped up for the next day’s golf.

The first round of golf was staged at the breath-taking Ayala Greenfield Golf & Leisure Club. Then special dinner arrangements were booked at the Dining @ Yakal building which houses three restaurant concepts : I’m Angus Steakhouse, Carpaccio Ristorante Italiano and Chesa Bianca Swiss restaurant. The delegates were given the choice of cuisine. Pre-dinner cocktails was held at The Deck (rooftop) of the restaurant building with Vince Lahorra playing the saxophone.

It was again a perfect sunny day on the second day of golf at the Eagle Ridge Golf & Country Club and the Awards Night was held at the Sofitel poolside which was so beautifully set-up for the dinner by the Sofitel team. The crowd was treated to the sensational Ritmo Latino Band and the out-of-this-world song & dance rendition of the famous Mocha Girls.
The evening culminated with the Awarding Ceremonies headed by Werner Berger and Othmar Frei, with Poncy Quirino as emcee. As expected, all delegates were also entitled to fantastic door prizes. The evening ended with the vibrant music of Ritmo Latino who got everybody up and dancing to the music.
