After 3 days of fierce battles and now the dust had begun to settle down. The true Champion had arisen! We wish all our winners “Congratulations!”

Overall 14 Gold’s, 55 Silver’s, 102 Bronze’s Medals plus 151 Diplomas had being awarded to amongst the 400 chefs participants from Thailand, Indonesia, Brunei, Singapore and Malaysia.

Our special thanks goes to the panel of International Judges whom comes from USA, Ireland, Scotland, Germany, Switzerland, Thailand, Indonesia, Singapore, Taiwan, China, Hong Kong and Malaysia.

We also wish to express our deepest sincere thanks to YB Teng Chang Yeow – Penang State Executive Councilor, Tourism Penang, Nestle Foodservices, Carlsberg Marketing, Malaysian Association of Hoteliers (MAH) Penang Chapter, Meika S/S Kitchen Equipment, Shell Gas LPG, Hekty Advertising, Oomph Website support and many-many more companies and individuals in making our event a great success. A big “THANK YOU!”

Over the 3 days, we had received more than 15000 visitors mainly chefs and F & B personnel’s from around the region. We were surprised that many foreign house guests staying along the Batu Ferringhi beach hotels took interest and visited our event. They were wowed by the fantastic creation and show pieces.

We are pleased to welcome the first time participants and visitors from Brunei and Indonesia. We also are happy that we have supports from our traditional counterparts, Thailand and Singapore! Not living out our Malaysian strong support especially from the training schools and colleges. We noticed a huge group of lady chefs and young chefs participating in this year event and this augurs well for the future of our profession. Syabas!

This year many creative, innovative and extra ordinaries hot dishes were presented. We had over 180 entries for individual and team live cooking and it was a record. We wish to thank, Meika Stainless Steel Kitchen Equipments for supplying 17 commercial western and oriental kitchen sets on a very last minute request. Thank you Meika!

Lastly to our exhibitors, hoped that you have a wonderful harvest, I know someone did! Thank you for your support!
